A native of the Bunya Bunya Mountains in Queensland, the tree produces large fleshy cones, similar to a pineapple, the kernel of which is extracted and roasted by the blacks as a great delicacy. At the proper season, a truce was called between all the native tribes who then gathered together for a great feast. Mond. : 10th June. 1957. 2.25 p.m. Hazy sun"

Only one surviving of my family of ten cats, 'Percy', the half Persian having disappeared in July of this year, after being sick for a long period. 'Tiger' not very well today, suffering from an infected jawbone, caused by a bad tooth, which has produced an abscess on the right side of the face, just under the eye. 'Nobby' - 'Nob-Nob' [Died 5.00 p.m. Monday 20th March, 1959]. Sund. : 20th Oct. 1957. 4.20 p.m. Shade"
