Photograph of "Cooinbil. Last camp before leaving for Rules Point to return home. I stayed here a full day & two nights. Norm went on to Col Ibbotson's, Long Plain Hut. Photograph of "Peak - 3400' - rising above the cliffs overlooking Tumut River Valley, in the vicinity north of the old salt lick site. Ground here very steep and rocky, and area from which photo was taken completely burnt out. Got very black and dirty. Much haze in river valley. Proceeded along high ground to top of Lander's Spur track, much of the country being burned all the way. Got dark shortly after reaching top of Spur Track. Thurs. 25th April 1957. 4.20 p.m. Sun - low"
