Photograph of "Engine of the Cootamundra-Tumut train at Gilmore siding. The train to Batlow waits here until the other train has passed, after transhipping passengers and freight. Don Dowell, now engine cleaner at the Tumut shed, with mate is on the footplate as acting fireman, going back to Tumut after bringing the Batlow train out. The Cootamundra train crew change over today and take the Batlow train up. The engine is one of the 30 series - S class. Mon. 23rd Sept. 1957. 10.50 a.m. Sun"
