John Fitzpatrick was born on 24 April 1915 in Broken Hill, NSW. A boilermaker before entering politics, Fitzpatrick lived his whole life in Broken Hill. Commonwealth Australian Labor Party, House of Representatives Member for Darling (1969-77), Riverina (1977-80). Retired in 1980, and died 28 July 1997.
