Photograph of "Bunya Bunya Pine (Araucaria bidwillii), behind C. of E. Rectory, Tumut. A native of the Bunya Bunya Mountains in Queensland, the tree produces large fleshy cones, similar to a pineapple, the kernel of which is extracted and roasted by the blacks as a great delicacy. At the proper season, a truce was called between all the native tribes who then gathered together for a great feast. Mond. : 10th June. 1957. 2.25 p.m. Hazy sun"
