Photograph of "Another picture of 'Tiger', one of Tiger's 1st kittens, and aged now about 8 or 9. Only one surviving of my family of ten cats, 'Percy', the half Persian having disappeared in July of this year, after being sick for a long period. 'Tiger' not very well today, suffering from an infected jawbone, caused by a bad tooth, which has produced an abscess on the right side of the face, just under the eye. 'Nobby' - 'Nob-Nob' [Died 5.00 p.m. Monday 20th March, 1959]. Sund. : 20th Oct. 1957. 4.20 p.m. Shade"

Caught 2 fish hereabouts (1 in pool) before leaving to go back to camp. Had to walk back through burning bush. Wed. 27th Feb. 1957. 6.50 p.m. Shade - no sun"

Photograph of "Snowy River truck bogged on way over Cumberland Range. Laurie in centre of group. We followed this truck on our second & successful attempt to get through. Laurie's care was running on five cylinders. Valve trouble in one cylinder. Snow was starting to freeze on surface, it getting a bit cold & late. Going was easier after passing top of range. Shoes were very loose, so Norm rode over to Currango and had her shod. Swamps too full for cart to cross. Frid. 24th Oct. 1952. 1.35 p.m. Cloudy"

Raining very heavily when we reached hut. Hard & slippery pull for horse up track over Range. We got on to disused track by mistake for a while. Weather cleared temporarily. Track to Learmont's Hut impracticable. Wed. 29th Oct. 1952. 12.45 p.m. Sun"
